THE ERRICHETTI FAMILY
When Michelle and her husband decided they wanted to foster, they contacted two different DSS offices. The first office told her they were understaffed and had no classes available, and the second office never reached back out to her with any communication. “I was really discouraged that we were having a very hard time getting started,” she recalls. “I kind of thought it might be a sign we shouldn’t do this.”
Next, Michelle and her husband attended an info session with an agency that was an hour and a half from their home. This time they were told that they lived too far away and that the agency couldn’t work with them. Finally, the Errichettis found success: “I saw a QR code.
